| Ross, Thanks for the update. I was going to make a few comments right after our lesson this week. But I was too busy to write you an email. I really like the ways you carry out the violin lessons. More specifically, I like the way that you make Arthur to use brain and to play "smart" violin. For example, you teach him the principle/mechanism of skills and why he can benefit from them. You ask him questions to make sure that he understands what he has learnt. It has demonstrated to me that the only way Arthur can practice violin effectively is through understanding "why we are doing this". Jian |
| Hi Ross – I put Angela down for 11:30 on Wednesday, July 12th. Let us know if anything changes. I know that Angela ALWAYS learns something from you in her lessons. You are an excellent teacher – patient, encouraging, enthusiastic, and fun. And thank you for telling her in the last lesson that she was “cheating” on hitting the right notes – we noticed that, too! | You are so welcome...thank you for all you do...you even make minor scales seem fun!! - Dana |
| Ross- Ok with the lesson dates and times for Kara. CONGRATS to you on the appointment! Just don’t send an email that you’re leaving us for bigger a better!! Also, wanted you to know what a huge help you’ve been to Kara- Mr. Wargo (orch. teacher) is so proud of her- she missed the entire first year of instruction, yet has the highest grade in her orch. class right now!! KUDOS to you both!! Thanks so much for all you do, Patti |
